Turnitin

SRJC uses Turnitin, an online plagiarism detection service that can identify unoriginal text in a student's written assignment. The Turnitin Web-based software uses data mining to compile a large database of electronic academic materials that it indexes and stores.

Using Turnitin with Canvas

If you're using Canvas, see Turnitin directions for Canvas from SRJC Distance Education which shows how to enable Turnitin in Canvas, how students submit files, and how instructors use Turnitin tools (or Canvas tools) to grade submissions.

Using Turnitin without Canvas

If you are planning to use Turnitin unassociated with Canvas, contact Erin Daniels to establish an account. Once an account is established, instructors not using Turnitin via Canvas set up their assignments at turnitin.com. See Turnitin Support for additional assistance.
