Tawnya Lively, SRJC employee and artist, created the Santa Rosa Firestorm Mosaic Project for those who lost homes in the October 2017 wildfires.

Using recovered pieces of broken ceramic, she gifted art to fire survivors and hosted workshops for others who wanted to create their own mosaics. The "collective" mosaics in Doyle Library were created using materials from more than 50 burned homes, many belonging to SRJC staff.
